It’s been a while since I wanted to share my favourite Graphic Design magazines with you. I found these magazines around London, but you can also buy them online, those are really great books to keep up with your designer skills and design culture 🙂
Let’s start with Printed Pages Magazine, which I found in a second hand bookshop in Stoke Newington. After a nice brunch, always something nice happens!
The front cover catched my eyes immediately, and then the content was super inspiring. This magazine is from It’s Nice That agency which I really like. Always a nice artistic direction and editorial approach in their works.
This one is my last discovery from a trip in Manchester. The front cover was created by a very famous Japanese Illustrator; Noritake, available in five different colours. this is Issue #38 Handmade Printing. I work myself in a printing company so I couldn’t resist! BranD is an international bi-monthly magazine, focusing on Brand Design and Branding, with English-Chinese versions and published in Hong Kong. You’ll find a bunch of illustrations from different artists with a distinctive graphic style. The magazine defines a new way to look into communication design by presenting nice works amongst visual art, advertising, product, graphic, interior, architecture, etc.
Founded at Arnolfini in Bristol (Bristol blogpost), this magazine is a kind of educational I would say. Every month a new theme around a graphic subject, this time it was “Branded Stationery & Collateral – Much More Than Just A Minimalist Business-Card”. And because I’m building my portfolio I thought this could be very helpful! I will buy another one from the website very soon as they seem really interesting too! I really love the size, the layout, ideal for on-the-move professionals who need to travel light.
And you, which graphic design magazine would you recommend?
